in 2015-16 Dad took a sabbatical to Australia. The rest of us got to tag along making it Seven on Sabbatical. In 2023, just three of us returned for a 6 month stay. So we are dusting off this blog to record more experiences in this country that we love.

Dominoes Through Melbourne
After our weekend on Phillip Island, we stopped in to see a whimsical activity going on through downtown Melbourne. Someone got the great idea to set up huge concrete dominoes running 2 kilometers through the city. It started at the town hall, wound through various buildings, and ended at the art museum. It was purely for the sake of fun. And knocking things down. It speaks to the little kid in all of us.
After the dominoes were done, they said we could take a domino if we wanted. They are made of concrete. We didn't wanted. But we did spend some time setting them back up and knocking them down again.
